That would be great Ade, but I need to find time to sort the engine out.
We definately should give them a re-union at some point in the future.

Well folks, Ally beam is sold and gone (the guy over payed too! on purpose aswell!)
So today I took the crappy subframe that was in it's place off.
Posted Image

Then stripped it for all the relevant bits ie: Handbrake gubbins, brake pipes even though I will probably renew them, and radius arms. The arms will need modifying tho.

All because of what turned up in the post today. Brand new beam with adjustable camber and nearly new rear coilovers, another bargain e-bay find:

Was hoping to finish this today, but it kept either raining or snowing!
Under the shelter of amy raised garage door I did manage to modify the radius arms to suit the beam. You have to chop off the knobs that house the rear trumpets:

The arms are in pretty good condition, but I gave em a quick going over with a wire brush attachment on the drill and sprayed em with hammerite. Didn't touch the drums because they recently had new shoes and cylinders.

So now I'm selling everything you need to totally sort out your rear subframe. Adjustable Aluminium Rear trumpets and rubber cones. Adjustable rear shocks and brand new 1.5 degree negative galvanised camber brackets.

Getting to the nuts that fix the front of the rear-subframe, inside the minus is pretty close to impossible so I made up some brackets out of 1/4 inch straight bar and welded on some nuts , to make life easier in the future. A must do for any minus owner!

My first time welding with gas today too and It's much nicer!
