Hi guys
started on my Vaux build today,
Few pictures of 'Kermit' before so you have some idea of what the car looks if you havnt already saw it, then a few of the Allspeed frame and other parts that i messed around with today.
Cambelts new but the water pump and tensioner are a bit iffy so might aswell do it.
Going to look at what cams are on offer too but as for modifying i think il leave it at that.
For spares or another project

i wanted a 16v too but i got two of the 8v's chucked in with the conversion kit so it was hard to resist, the one above is out of a nova gte i beleive and the other one out of an astra.
Il see how this goes for now, looking at changing the cam depending on the bhp increase, 100bhp is nice but id like a tiny bit more!

Looking good Ben.
When you thinking of having in on the road?
You're going to have 2 projects technically finished before I've even done one...damn it !
I'll be building my engine with the aid of rich and lee in there garage in Cov, will be bring up the bits after this weekend and get cracking in the evenings after work.

Hi Guys, slow progress as i work funny shifts so untill monday onwards there isnt much to update.
Adrian flux have been ******* and charged me £600 for 21 days insurance! so this suprise fee has knocked me back a little1
Few pictures anyway,
Green paint shall be going onto the engine on monday hopefully gave the gearbox a nice spanking clean all ready for the green:)
Excuse a few of the pics,my girlfreind cant put her camera down and i couldnt miss an opportunity to show you that im actually doing something!
Just a few of me prepping the bulkhead ready for the new frame and taking out the old weber box.
roof is for sale if anyone wants it £200

Update 01/08/10
Started Kermits diet today and saved 60 kg so far, mostly from the sound install! which isnt completly removed yet.
Put more for sale items in the classifieds too.
Trial fitted the allspeed frame and my gf started sanding it down ready to be sprayed along with my spax shocks
Engine will be transported up there tommorow to be fitted on Thursday if all goes to plan...fitted but not running yet, still wiring to sort out!
More pictures tommorow, plan is to...
remove webasto roof to sell, cant wait to weigh it!
remove bootlid
paint bulkhead
cut hole for lower bulkhead gear selector box
paint top arms and bottom arms
finish stripping sound install out
cut rear bins/rear bench out
maybe a bit of welding
and more if i can find time!
Few pictures as always
