I cant remember the code of the top of my head, at work will try and find it later.

It was the last BRG rover produced. Number 3 rings a bell!

Thanks, ive only got a 998 in it at the moment, does have a stage 3 head, HIF44 and some higher lift rockers but theres nothing like a little more power!

Im going to change the wheels, ive fallen in love with 10"s. Ive got some banded (widdened) 10" steels with the old style chrome hub caps to go on. The arches will be changed as well. I want to get it sitting quite low and these arches look a bit silly on top of tens like sportspack ones.

They look great but on closer inspection... they're on the wrong way! In a mad rush to get the car finished my dad started to put them on the wrong while i was getting the seats in. Didn't realise until it was to late haha. The front one sits a bit higher than it should and the rear doesn't curve around the back.

sounds like its gonna be pritty good, when fitting your 1380 put an oil cooler in as well your gonna need it. im running a 1380 with a 276 cam and ive had my crank and con rods wedged and lightened and my cran was nitorized, and i cant go any bigger on my head its ported and polished to the max and i have the worlds biggest vaulves. and when you get stuck in traffic it warms up like nothing else, but as soon as you get goign again it does cool down.

but just keep it in mind that they get hot really fast.

and your gonna need a neew fuel pump and regulator or your gonna get fuel starvation at the top end.

just few things i found when building mine hope they help

I am going to get an oil cooler for it my 998 wouldn't stay cool in traffic so definately need one on this and a better rad. Did you use an electric pump in the boot or just an updated mechanical fuel pump and a regulator?

elec in the boot, red top facet i think and just a filter king under the bonnet.
i know when i fitted mine it also broke my old rubber fuel lines made them split as there was so much pressure so i put copper pipe there as well.

while your engine is out replace all the tower mounts and teardrops from rubber to solid, will stop you going through so many wioth the bigger engine

and solid mount your subframe.

if you need any more infor let me know and im sure ive had to do it before on mine or while i had my engine out.

It is gorgeous as it is in the first picture!

Love the look... Thought you should keep wheels until I saw the new ones! Mad wide - and a huge offset.

Thanks a lot for the info will get one ordered up.
Ive uprated most of the hoses on the 998 so should just be able use those.

Ive got solid tear drop mounts and tower mounts, not sure what other ones ive got but will see what im missing when i put it all together.

Thanks!

Haha yea I keep getting the same coments about keeping the wheels. The tens i got of ebay i paid i bit to much for them but they do look good. There a little bit skinnier than the revolutions, thats why im going to change the arches.

Ive got another set of 10x3.5 which im going to get widdened to about 6.5" when funds allow.

Better get back to work, the pistons wont put themselves back in!

Re-sprayed the rear beam today as it got a few drips of rain on it and i wasnt happy with the finish, but it started to rain about 10 mins after i painted it so it looks exactly the same! Dam England.

Went christmas shopping then got the crank, cam followers, cam and pistons back in after i honed the bores. No pictures yet will get some tomorow hopefully with a little progress.
