Done quite a bit more work to it. Should be back on the road in a week or so.

Engine bay, done.

Mega like this! the wheels look ace! if i were you i'd keep the standard arches painted green like you have in the mock up picture, its very different and looks very cool, love the grey engine and the oil cooler, however is it not in the way if you ever needed to take off your grill?

Ed

Thanks, im thinking the same really. Just want to try it with black gp2's to see how it looks. Want to get the roof painted black to.
Yea it is in the way will just have to take it of at the block if i ever need to take the grill off.

fair enough! still looks mint! black roof would look good with the wheels...

loving the orange hoses... really work with the grey block... top stuff!!

No problems yet... haven't driven it!

Had a go at fitting my rollcage today.... poked a little rust hole in the rear inner arch

Decided i would have a good hunt for rust and i've created 9 various holes in the floor. Most of them are around previous repairs though, so will cut out the repairs and weld in some fresh metal, without overlap this time!

Some pictures sitting on the wheels now.

Not so sure about the red and orange, bit of a colour clash! :( However, loving the retro styling, rolled tip exhaust and banded wheels - especially the tinted headlight covers. I'm thinking about a set for my own, where have you purchased them from?

That looks mighty fine!I`d ditch the clear front indicators and repeaters.

The clash is good!

Got them of ebay, used once 99p haha. They are quite hard to find i searched loads of different things. These were not listed as mini, vw etc thats why they were so cheap seen a few sets go for about £30.

That looks mighty fine!I`d ditch the clear front indicators and repeaters.

Don't worry im going to.
