With some modification, will locking cobra frames fit onto the standard Mini seats? Bot direct swap I know, but I'm guessing it's possible?

Where can I find the 5AS module fitted to later Mini's standard (1994)? Is it possible?

Ahah, badly worded status. I meant to buy one, it's been removed by a previous owner and wondered if I could get a replacement unit to plug in (I need to look at the ECU to see if it needs to be a coded one though, if it does need to be coded then I'll just fit a custom alarm).

I've made a almost definite decision that I'm never selling my Mini Cooper. First car, but I have a love for it. Is this normal? :P

Ahh, good work. My advice then is - Get a Haynes Manual, a good socket set and start saving for all the goodies you're going to want to buy. They are Brilliant cars... well the're more than just cars.

I got a Haynes manual (the holy grail for wiring problems <3 ), got a big Halfords Professional socket set (almost as precious as the car!) and my wallet keeps filling and quickly emptying. Am I doing it right?

Sounds pretty much spot on

The Cobra seat frames from Minispares. Do the rails (that bolt on the seat) come on the seat or with the frame? Thinking of using the frames on my proper Mini seats (so they lock) but don't want to have incomplete bucket seats after.

And yes, I know they will need modifying to fit the stock Mini seats :)

Found a cable for spots in the fornt of my 94 cooper, come on with main beam. But can't find another one the other side. Do they just piggy back (in parallel) each other? (stock loom/factory wiring)

Yes, have a look round the inside of the front panel. It should be there unless some ones cut it out

Hmm... got some gauges to fit. Thought it would be cool to have a volt meter and ammeter in the centre console but seems like an ammeter is a pain in the arse to fit... Is it worth it? I want it more for looks than function as I understand that a volt meter is more useful...

Ooh ok... I guess if they are fused correctly they should be fine but still. Think I may pass. Got 3 gauges for a bargain on ebay so not like it's a problem.

Oil pressure is the most important one :)

Got an oil pressure one to fit, all the fitting gear is in my basket on minispares :D Also got a vacuum gauge, might just fit that next to my voltmeter in the centre. Then I can add another gauge above my radio (maybe a more useful one than a vacuum :P)

what size wheels would a standard 1994 Mini Cooper SPi have? would they be 12"? mine has 12" ultralites and hoping they are the same/equivalent of what it would have fitted as standard?

My 93 has 12s and I can't imagine prev owner changed it up. 13's were '96-on I think.

OK cool. Well the minilites/ultralites etc... Are all very similar anyway. Just gonna get some cooper wheel centres and be done! Cheers guys
