Mini booked in for MOT on Friday but I've just realised the date :-O

I have had a lifetime of faith Ben. They never cease to amaze me. Just hoping it's not anything really serious. It's stuff like the CAT which is now 17 years old and other bits and bobs that will mean aggro/expense. Bodywork is near perfect (thank God).

Perhaps they will turn Top Gear back into a programme about cars & motoring from the comedy programme it is at present.

Although I do like top gear and the jovial outlook it has, clarkson always goes too far. I'll be interested to see the outcome of this one as he was previously on his last warning from the bbc execs. I've been lucky enough to go to 2 recordings and believe me, it's a bloody long day, not 2 hours.

I can't ever recall having real butter. My grandparents used to have it on the table in one of those butter dishes. Might go buy some now just to see

Just booked a cottage from a friend of a friend for a bit of a break and I'm told the garden backs onto property owned by Nicolas Cage. Hope he's going to be there. Could be cool.

-
Ben_O
Property owned will probably mean he just owns it and doesn't use it. Would be great though to holiday next door to a hollywood moviestar!

Yeah probably. Apparently the friend has seen him in Glastonbury a few times though. I shall take a mosey past ...

The new Honda TV ads do my eyes in :-(. Can't be bothered to read that fast.

It was actually "Mr" Spock. Dr Spock was a real person - an American paediatrician and author :)

RIP him then. Sorry, not a Trekkie/Trekker.

Now I've got Parisian Walkways going round in my head! I shll check out Peter Green. In fact, I think I've got some splinter group stuff somewhere. On ancient vinyl. I went to see Bonnie Raitt a few years back and was pretty blown away by her. Didn't realise she was such a good blues/slide guitarist.

Ah, no offence to poor old Peter, but Splinter Group isn't a patch on the old PG fleetwood mac stuff. Peter suffered a mental breakdown after some heavy LSD action in the early 70's. He was never the same since that and although Splinter Group was a very noble venture, I would say it was more of a rehab exercise than anything. He really wasn't up to much in terms of his playing. I'm not too familiar with Bonnie, I'll check her out. Love findng new music!

Me too. I've just discovered Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Sort of blues/funk - but he plays the steel guitar and I've never seen anyone outside of C&W play it. Pretty good :-) I shall leave my LSD induced muzak in the suitcase in the garage for now then.

Laughing out loud at Rhod Gilbert's Work Experience, and then it suddenly went horribly sad :-(

Having a friend with chronic OCD can be so tiring. They needed to download some stuff from my laptop onto a stick and the stick touched the table and so became impossibly contaminated with germs. Jeez, I need patience ...

They say OCD is just a nagging doubt in the persons mind.

I know. He was made redundant a couple of years ago and is really struggling now to find a job. He's good at what he does but, in interviews, the first thing people want to do is shake your hand ... and that is just impossible for him. He tells them he has OCD but most employers can't see through the 'you must be barking mad' thing. Such a shame.

My gran suffers from OCD and gradually over the years its got a little better but its very difficult thing. I think everyone has small touches of it, but when it takes over everything its sad. She won't get on any sort of public transport and if you've been on a bus or a train, you're only allowed to sit on a certain chair. Sometimes its triggered by stressful events where people can't cope so that's their way of dealing with it.

Someone's going to get sacked. (The smug face on the bloke in the last photo is irritating though) http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/driver-loses-control-of-1m-zonda-supercar-and-crashes-into-railings-on-industrial-estate-10041368.html

Not getting anything like New Brunswick (in the vid) but had 15cm Saturday and another 20cm forecast tomorrow. A bit of shoveling. Might even slow down...a bit. Snow tires are fun.
