Does anyone else want to heave when they see a picture of the Iceland 5 bird roast?

-
The Matt
Multi-bird roasts are not something to do on the cheap.
They're at their best with Puffin, Parrot and Pheasant in the mix!

'Not something to do on the cheep' :-). I think Iceland is probably, vulture, seagull, crow, pigeon and various misc. roadkill.

It's totally tropical. Mind you, i'm starting to forget now. I'm not paying 2 and a half quid for a bottle. It's a joke!

I like Lilt. Until it goes flat. Then it really IS the Devil's wee.

Just moved a flower pot that was upside down in the garden and there's a ball of about 6 frogs underneath it. All seem to be asleep. How funny. Left them alone.

-
Miniminx71
I like frogs. I have the tiniest little pebble pool solar ornament in the garden - only about the size of a dinner plate, and I had a frog just sat in that most of the summer. Like it was in a Jacuzzi. He/she was ace.

What would cause a turbo diesel engine to just die at 70 mph? Electrics all seem fine. Belts intact ...Engine not turning over.

-
Tommyboy12
If the oil drains suddenly an engine can seize almost instantly.
Nov 03 2014 09:45 PM -
sledgehammer
no compression (if he is correct) could be cam belt or chain
does the engine turn on the key ?
Nov 03 2014 09:55 PM -
Miniminx71
No. Nothing at all. Not even a click. The chain is fine apparently. Plenty of oil in it. Mystery ...

Annoying friend just left. Made a nice dinner. Even made an apple and blackberry pie. Whacked open a tin of Ambrosia custard and friend says "It's nice, but not as nice as my homemade custard". Who makes sodding custard!! Wouldn't mind but I've tasted hers and it's horrible.

-
lyndseyp27
No ben :) and I am very disappointed at how you have just spelt my name...

Always a bit worrying following someone for 10 miles who's got a really, really loose wobbly wheeltrim.

-
Miniminx71
I would've got the hell away from that. There was a story in the paper the other day about a rubbish lorry that fell over in the road. They got it upright and it then went off and crashed into a house.

What is the point of the step sill on the Mini? It's just something else to bleedin' rot.

-

something from Heritage. And I thought Minis were getting expensive!

I took the sill strip off for cleaning it last year and never put it back on, :D, much easier to clean that lip when washing without having to wipe up a load of grease/waxoyl.

£7.50 premium adjustment for the new car. A £26.50 "admin fee" for making it. Insurance companies are so greedy.

-
Ben_O
Do they not do it for free online? My insurance don't charge if i change it using the online policy editor, they only charge when i ring them. That is very steep!

Just phoned a garage to ask if a car was still available. Said have you still got the 2012 black Golf, 1.4 Tsi Match, registration number blah blah. The guy on the other end said "Is that the DSG?". I mean, how much information did I need to give him at the beginning for him to know exactly what car it was????

-

Most appalling salesman ever at VW in Swindon. Just wasn't interested and knew sod-all. Appointment to test drive the Volvo S40 D3 on Sunday now. Time for a change!

That's the attitude!
I was once approached by an energy salesman that I didn't like regarding gas and elcetricity.
I'll never use either again!
