Note to self: Fitting the windscreen locking trim thingy is bloody difficult without the fillet tool!

Not to you: If you use the Minispares budget one, be gentle. It's not made of tough stuff (I found out yesterday :\)

You can never stop modifying a mini. I was happy with mine when i bought it and its now had a new engine, three different carburettors and three different interiors.

I haven't even started with the 'real' modifications yet! Only done bucket seats, steering wheels, stereo and a rev counter haha!

Looks like I may need a new head gasket now. Possibly gone between a waterway and an oilway. Coolant's looking a bit cloudy and emulsified! Mini's - they're like women, never happy til they're spending other peoples money! ¬¬

Busy day tomorrow. Gear selector seal to replace, respray my steering wheel matte black instead of gloss, re-seal my windscreen, AND change the coil springs on a vw polo. Quite worried about trying to get that lot done in one day. But for now, it's off for a chillout and a skate.

Garage clear out: The term used as an excuse to work on cars, waste time, and make the very messy garage messier than it already was.

Contemplating having my mini done in the JPS colour scheme when I respray it next year. The only thing is, i feel guilty with it being an open classic, but I wouldn't half love it if I had a JPS mini! :(

i want a vertical, drift-style handbrake for my mini. no reason, just think they're cool and a bit different. Hmm, do I try to make one, or buy a universal kit.. ¬¬

The universal kits seem to just be the drift e-brakes, so they don't lock in position, some do, but it'd mean drilling holes in the mini! Can't be arsed with that, might just try and make the current one vertical haha

we cleaned it as best we could at the time, but we were more worried about my friend. I've had everything out today and fabric and interior cleaned it all. only put the drivers seat back in so far for work tomorrow, the rest is airing out

Audi drivers are allowed to - It's a 'special' lane
Like the 'special' school they went to

As a special school teacher I find that offensive - non of my pupils would be seen anywhere near an Audi, they have far better taste and are building a mini! ;-)

Off to Dan's to fit the new suspension bits, might retry fitting these door cards which don't seem to fit too! Then tomorrow is washing the car and then retrimming the doorcards. :)
