Maybe not 2 seconds, but just make sure you click enough times to be recognised ;)

I did it every 1 second about 3 times after I spotted the hazard. I got a good score with this technique on mock tests compared to not clicking every second.

when i did it the clicking was explained differently compared to the DVD so i just clicked aimlessly and passed :D

Got my new alloys, they are already balanced, do I need to have them aligned when I put them on the car?
Oct 21 2012 02:52 PM

Noah
You should have the suspension aligned yes as the offset is different. Though its not the end of the world.

The suspension alignment has nothing to do with the wheels.

Sorry didn't mean to write suspension, one of those moments when I was listening to a video on suspension set ups in the back round and it popped into my head.
Ideally yes you should get the wheel Allignment done before changing to a different size width wheel, but you will be fine if you dont.

Got a problem... When I insured my car (I'm 17) I said the value was £2750, now Adrian Flux are asking for an agreed valuation, do I state it had a restoration and that it is worth ~£4000 or will that cause issues and invalidate my insurance? Please help! Thanks

Insure it for it's correct value you should not notice a huge difference. I've been here before and under insured the value of my car then overinsured. No offence but a mini valued at £5k is peanuts to them the risk comes when 'touch wood' we crash into a Rols Royce Phantom or DB6. Insure it for it's correct value you should not notice a huge difference.

If you underinsure it you will only get back your scheduled or agreed value - basically they will only pay out as much as you say it's worth. And if you don't declare things like a nice stereo and genuine minilites etc then they won't pay out for them if they are damaged in a crash

just because you've just spend x amount on a 'restoration' doesn't intantly mean that its now worth its original valve plus whatever you've spent on it. try selling it at 4k and see and i bet you wouldn't have many takers.

Explain this though on your post on my project thread, your parts total was 2,000 and your labour total was 1200 how did you end up with a total spend on mini 6 grand? or is that not including the cars price?

i passed my test in 3weeks... that wasn't one of those quick tests either, just booked my theory and passed that, did 10lessons then booked practical boom, passed that with 4minors and was on the road in the mini an hour after! haha, cost me £180 for 10lessons and tests were about £80 i think?

The one week courses can be more expensive if you don't get the hang of it quickly. I have had 45 hours of lessons and 3 months of driving with dad for about £850
