Sat running car and i kept hearing thudding, opened door to listen and sounds like popping and slight burning smell. What could it be?

-
RossKnight
Might be a manifold gasket leak? When mine wasn't sealed properly, it used to pop and stutter
Jan 27 2014 05:08 PM -
RossKnight
oh, and also smelled

Does anyone else's mini feel skittish whilst driving. Noticed for last few months when turning corners that steering is a lot lighter and skittish and scared if I sneeze, I could end up in a bush!

-
Moggyton
I must admit, i thought that about mine. The steering feels different every time i drive it

ok things to check steering rack bolts, tie bars, tyre presures, and if not sure go to a garage and get them to check it out
Jan 24 2014 06:50 PM -
MiniGrin
yea, before mine went into the hardest working garage ever, mine felt the same. sometimes I questioned if I had any control at all XD

Geez, I got some tool on Ebay messaging me grief because I gave her a neutral feedback because the item was used when she said it was new.

-
M J W J
Also you can report someone on ebay if they are harassing you over feedback left.

Im not an ebay ninja either, I bought a heater unit for my mini and when it came the back of it was broken off (obviously photographed to hide it as there were no 'bits' in the box or packaging!) I raised it with the Resolution Centre straigh t away who advised I contact the seller and he paid me back straight away - just had the annoyance of sending it back!

If people deliberately try to deceive people then they deserve neutral or negative feedback but sometimes genuine mistakes and problems do occur. As long as people deal with them in a professional manner (communicate and issue refunds where appropriate) then positive feedback should still be left in my opinion.

If I change my car colour to several colours, what do I list it as on V5? Multi?

-
mininuts
My red and silver Cooper Sport is listed as multi even though its only two colours.
Jan 23 2014 12:53 AM -
minimaxie
It's odd, Paul, as some of the MPi's even early SPi's were listed on the V5's as Multi Coloured even though some identical same year Minis were listed as their actual colours???

Why is it I can find certain genuine panels, but not others? RH panels but not LH? So annoying!

-
Domneon
May stretch to mdf though
Jan 19 2014 11:34 PM -

No panel fits straight away and they all need a little fettling to get them to fit, even genuine ones. The only difference is that the genuine ones usually don't need as much work. I've used none genuine panels and they seamed fine to me.
