I actually feel sick thinking about those poor children and their families in Pakistan. How people could target children is beyond me. Heartless cowards.

-
lyndseyp27
Its so sad. I couldn't justify any senseless murder but come on, they were just kids.

Right. Attempting to change the window rubbers today. Have the trusty tool, just no idea or instructions haha wish me luck! (Anyone have a spare windscreen, just in case?)

-

I've away preferred using plastic bike tyre levers instead of a blunt screwdriver to put windscreens in, less chance of it shattering or breaking.
But as you doing the locking strip. push the tool into the rubber and feed the locking strip into it while you push/wiggle the tool round the rubber feeding the strip in as you go. using some soapy water in a spray bottle as lube to help the tool and the strip slide in the rubber easier.

Ben_O I put the link to the video showing how to do it with the tool as Lyndsey has it. I was merely stating it can be done without it. I have done it before with a thick piece of string inserted into the windscreen rubbed before fitting it to the car. If you push the locking strip with the palm of your hand you can get the rubber to lift up and over it by pulling out the string. The same method can be used to help get the rubber seal over the actual windscreen.

Lifting up your back carpets and finding the floor and bins not overly rusty but piss wet through was kind of bitter sweet.

Anyone in/near Kent this weekend that would fancy having a quick gander over my electrics just to confirm whether i need a new loom or not? I will pay :)

-
darekforest
Thats good, any issues with electrics are easier to diagnose in carb models. You mentioned that your Mini doesn't like to start. If you thinking about changing battery buy battery for Peugeot 306 diesel-higher cranking amperage.

Is battery earth strap in good condition? Also battery cable lead must be in good condition, especially during the winter.I had few deep dents in my battery cable lead and had problems with starting my Mini...

Running 20 mins late for work, so I decide to curl my hair, French plait it, and try on three outfits. Even I don't understand the logic. Then try the mini and the snow has killed her. Fiesta it is :(
