Ideally to somewhere on the main chassis of the car, not on the subframe.

subframes are normally rubber mounted. battery earth is to the body. Anywhere on the body

Looked at new MG3 yesterday. A lot of car for your money. Not sure if I'd be happy with a Chinese made car.
