Turns out there are some nice roads near me. The sun seems to have brought out a bunch of nice classics, including a mini and an elf.

Nice weather up here (Scotland) too, but there is so much salt on the roads it's like a salt fog being kicked up by the cars, so I don't expect to see many classics out for a while yet. Mind you, last year they were still gritting in May..

I knew there was something wrong with my wiring, as my lights wasn't working properly and the dash & interior lights wasn't coming on, I've changed the headlamp that was blown for a halogen (by myself ��) and have to do passenger side... but I've come to notice that I don't have a horn and the wire for the interior lights is not connected at all! Grrrrrrrr wish I knew what to do with it all

Have a look at the fuse box. on the bulkhead.see if fuses are blown and the a drawing of the fuse box and where all the wire go or some good pics. take fuse box off and see if its got a rottem behind.

I got a letter in the post this morning to say that my new driving license should arrive within 2 weeks. I also received another letter at the same time with my new license. Why are we paying so much for road tax?

It's an automated system unfortunately which is why you'll get silly letters through. Also no one pays road tax, it's vehicle exercise duty. Quite a significant difference between the 2.

If no-one pays road tax then how come it says tax on both the DVLA website and a V11 reminder? Call it what you want. Its still a tax. Its used to fund public services.

Because no one pays tax to use the road. Otherwise cyclists and horse riders would be charged. It's usually referred to as vehicle tax as it's based on the vehicle emissions.

C14SE vauxhall engine. I don't know who decided that putting a thermostat behind the timing belt cover would be a good idea. It means removing the cambelt, camshaft pulley, crankshaft pulley ect. Bit of a PITA, but must be done. :( GRRR!
