What stage 1 kit would you fit to a 1100 engine, but with a 1275 head? Should it be a 1275 kit, or a 998/1098 kit?

Wonder if the mini is going to start tomorrow. Hasnt been started for nearly 4 weeks. I know its not very long compared to some you see locked away for years, but my mini has been frustrating to me. Especially as i havent got any mechanical experience, which will change this year for sure.

I've got her home :-).. she's lights up like she's supposed to do, new halogen headlamps even the interior light works :-) and to top it all off...I HAVE HEAT whoop whoop..
But he did say that she's not sounding quite right. She's popping when revved up.
He then asked when I want a alarm or immobiliser putting on her!
It cost me £144 Inc. parts, labour & tax
I'm very pleased that she's home and better....

Whilst theroy suggests that the optimal exhaust for a mini will be around 1.75 diameter and have the same size final exit, how much difference would be seen in reality with a 2.25 exit on an otherwise 1.75 system?

Tailpipe is merely a cosmetic commodity. The major factor is that you have 1.75" ID which most mini exhausts aren't, they're 1.75 OD making the ID around 1.6".

I think the 1.75"OD is 1.625"ID. When you have a small pipe going to a big pipe, it slows and cools the exhaust faster, which can reduce performance.
