How long does it take to receive fiberglass front from Curley after ordering

pdaykin
Possibly. Having a few starting issues. Hoped a new battery would be a quick fix. Starter turning very slowly but with work commitments I dont have time to investigate properly.

Check earth straps are ok on the engine. Add a jump-lead to the engine->body to see if it changes something as a quick rule out.

I realised at the weekend how long it is since I have really had to sort things. Couldn't find tools, meters, jump leads etc. My gut reaction is that the starter is poleaxed as it sometimes makes a squeak when turning over.

Don't worry about the squeak, probably just a mouse stuck in there...
Check battery negative too by the way.
Not too difficult to change the starter motor but rule out false contacts first IMO, saves on money and wrong diagnostic as if it isn't that you will be back to square one but with a new starter. (Although squeaking is a sign of the apocalypse for starters, at least was for mine)

What's the compression ratio, around 9.4? Then around 135psi will be very good.

Wow. It shows I haven't been on here for a while. I got a notice saying someone had updated their status only for that status to say 'Merry Christmas everyone'. I should be a bit more active again now I have internet.

I had a Cinquecento Sporting, excellent car. It's a reliable, modern Mini, that only costs £500!

My Girlfriend years ago had a Seicento Michael Schumacher edition and it was great, only trouble was with the radiator leaking quite often and you needed the feet of a child to operate the pedals :D

Does anyone else's bonnet react Badly to waxes and polishes? Is this a mini thing?

I can clay and machine polish for you if you don't have the kit?

Might take you up on that offer! Would love to get it looking as shiny as poss as it's a weird colour that only looks good from certain angles, 'opodo red' I believe.

What should I do to my newly polished aluminum wheels to keep them from corroding? Clear coat them?

-
inim_repooc
not an expert on this by any means - but I would think it would probably be a good idea to just keep them well polished and protected - laquer would probably not adhere well on the surface and start peeling off and make the wheel look terrible...
again - just my thoughts here nothing scientific! :)

keep them clean and use a good sealant or wax on them, it'll do the trick.
Jan 23 2016 04:58 PM -

Yep, get a GOOD rim wax on them before fitting. Get as many coats on as possible. Karate kid style, wax on - wax off!

funny that, you need experience in retail to get a job in retail, to get experience in retail... to get a job in retail..

-

Better than getting your hands dirty, full of diesel, and always cold for peanuts!

I don't want to end up full time in retail, I just picked up a retail job before Christmas and this is the issue I had when getting the job! As mentioned above, how do they prove you don't have experience? Hehe
