I'm trying to track down my dad's old van. Reg XEH850S. It's Sandglow yellow and according to the Dvla it still exists.

What grommet can I use for the door wiring? Someone mentioned using MK1 or MK2 Golf door grommets recently but I can't find that mention now

I got mine on Ebay from someone who was breaking a metro. I just asked if they still had them and they did.

Don’t put it on the roof you will crease it and it won’t go straight again.
I’ve always tipped shells on their sides.
Use a strip of carpet to rest the bottom seam on.
Then a large wooden beam also covered in carpet to rest the gutter on.
Beam about 7” x 4” 5 to 6 feet long.
This rest the shell on strong points without distorting it. The rear quarter is then suspended off the floor.
Built 3 race cars and 2 road cars this way. Easy and cheap.
Mending and Pai...
