So I've noticed that the rear subframe only has two bolts holding it against the rear of the car at the sills. The bottom bolts both sides are missing and neither hole has what I presume is a captive nut to screw into? My options seem to be to remove the rear subframe take the flat plate against the car off and re set both the captive nuts. or i'm thinking is it possible to cut a slot out of the sill at the rear and wind a nut on the bolt and then tack weld it in place before repla...

Mini is now loaded into a container and is on its way. Holly c*** was it expensive but worth it as I want the mini home.

I'm asking the docks to not unload it. I ended up doing half the work to strap it down so I think I can unstrap it.

Real long shot. Anyone have an a+ series engine in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. We. Are stranded 250km from Ulaanbaatar with an engine that has thrown a rod.

We tried patching the hole in the gearbox and running it on three. We managed about 25km before she completely gave up. We are now in the process of arranging a shopping container to get her back to the Uk.

Is there a special tool I can buy to undo the Trunion bolts on the rear subframe, if so were can I get one.

You can modify the tool that comes with an angle grinder, that's what I did.

Definitely feel like an idiot. Thought it was a fueling issue, but it looks like the Mini was misfiring because of a worn distributor cap...

And literally none of the local spares shops carry new distributor caps... they are all completely useless!
