So I've noticed that the rear subframe only has two bolts holding it against the rear of the car at the sills. The bottom bolts both sides are missing and neither hole has what I presume is a captive nut to screw into? My options seem to be to remove the rear subframe take the flat plate against the car off and re set both the captive nuts. or i'm thinking is it possible to cut a slot out of the sill at the rear and wind a nut on the bolt and then tack weld it in place before repla...

I'm asking the docks to not unload it. I ended up doing half the work to strap it down so I think I can unstrap it.

We tried patching the hole in the gearbox and running it on three. We managed about 25km before she completely gave up. We are now in the process of arranging a shopping container to get her back to the Uk.

Check out my temp sender calculator! Useful for measuring coolant temp and testing bad senders

Definitely feel like an idiot. Thought it was a fueling issue, but it looks like the Mini was misfiring because of a worn distributor cap...

Limped it home on what I'm guessing was 3 cylinders after it cut out on the highway :(

And literally none of the local spares shops carry new distributor caps... they are all completely useless!

So the mini has made it to Homberg and we've found a beer festival. Tomorrow we head to the Czech Out party near Prague.
