when checking (removed) make sure they are the right way up
push down & up to full extent to purge the air / gas out of inner chamber
do this several times till it is smooth resistance with no slack travel
if you do it 10 times with slack - then fubar

I went to bed an hour later. Just as well we got the extra hour am my fuel pipe split and I flooded the boot and garage with 2 gallons of petrol.
