Yesterday I cleaned up the earthing point in the boot and then sprayed clear waxoil over the top to protect it. Thinking about it.. was that a bad idea? Will it "seep" in and raise the resistance of the connection?

Copper grease would probably work just as well.

If you look at the metal to matal joint under magnification it like train tracks it will find its way in

I will clean it off then! Don't have any dielectric grease. So whats best, normal grease or copper grease?
