IMM was freaking awesome! Met a few nice people with nice Minis. People said to me "Didn't you get bored of the same show over several day?". Of course not! Thats how much I love the mini scene, plus something different happened every day. Roll on 2019, unless I feel the need for a road trip to another country for it :P

I'm due some new pads and disks now. Do these make much of a difference from normal pads and disks. http://www.minisport.com/surestop-brake-kit-mini-1984-on-8-4-discs.html

The drilled and grooved discs are good, they have their advantages, however it's unlikely you'll notice them on a road car. Stick with standard.

I've got drilled and grooved front discs on my Vectra and the one time they are really noticeable is when its wet. The car stops so much better in the wet than it did before with its normal discs. In the dry there isn't much difference.

Good man, I once got three parking fines quashed as I knew I was in the right after doing research. I actually parked there on purpose in the end.
