Friday 13th..mini decided it didnt want to go out in the cold...pretty sure its something to do with the solenoid..all i get is a click :(

The click is the solanoid as you said previously. If the starter motor is stuck put it into gear and push the car, this will free the motor. Give that a go!

I have stalled it right after it was bumped after doing the same thing...and it started straight away with the key...suppose that fits in with the starter motor being freed up?
Thanks for the help ill try tomorrow when i can see properly and its not stupidly cold
