It's because everybody's asking too much for a pile of rot with the excuse that they can be worth a lot of money when they're restored.
While it is just a bucket of rust it isn't worth much at all.

Your right HarrysMini. I think my asking price for my 1988 city is fair based on whats there (good engine, reasonable shell etc) but in the current market us sellers are just not getting any bites. Some may choose to sell for too little in desperation. That is their choice and good look to the buyers getting a bargain (I have been on that end). Due to the current market I'm offering my Mini at a fabulous price! I can't afford to offer it at a ridiculous price. So maybe I will ha...

Yeah I too am experiencing some difficulty- people were crawling all over my '83 original city at the London to Brighton last weekend at both ends, but it seems many are all talk and no proverbial trousers. I feel my car is also at a reasonable price Algordo- a great condition shell (best un-restored I've seen on its original sills) good reliability etc, but hoepfully the right buyer will come along.
