I was driveing the Mozzie to the show when a ARV came up behind with lights flashing & going some speed already so I knew they wern't pulling me. When they went past I thought I would follow them at a safe speed & distance.

After a corners and short straights their was a long followed by some tight but fast corners so I put my foot down, as you do.

Cam round a corner & saw the police ahead of me. Few more fast corners & another straight, but longer this time & was quite close to ARV, close enough to see the passenger lean over and wave 2 fingers at me and mouth the word "back off" or similar, so I did.


:fear: Kept out of the way when I got to the Park as they were looking around and the Mozzie is quite noticable. It was fun thou! :grin:

How do you go about getting your car onto the stand and actually in the shows? This really is premature as I dont actually have my Mini yet, would be nice to think about showing it though instead of just going.

Armed response police are nutters. A couple of years back a couple of my mates got dragged from their cars and held at gun point by them as they thought they had a gun on them. It turns out that earlier in the day a car looking similar to one of my mates had been seen driving through town with what looked like a gun (turned out to be a BB gun) and the Police were on the look out for them again.

Later that afternoon we had parked up and my mate was showing my boyfriend something in his boot (cant remember what it was now, probably stereo or something) and the police helicopter was watching up above. They put two and two together came up with five and it resulted in us all driving off, getting through town and then five minutes later being stopped by a big group od police who had called off the road.

Luckily we were at the back and it was the car at the front who got stopped, the driver was dragged out, laid on the floor with a couple of policemen stood over him. All the passengers got guns pointed at the cars, some through open windows and all told to stay still. Cars were searched, nothing found and all we got was a sorry, be on your way kind of thing!

Talk about sh*t your pants!! Wouldnt really call it fun but it was interesting to say the least!!

Anyway, how do you get your cars on the stand?! lol

I was once working up the garden centre bit of my B & Q store with a mate of mine, when he asked what a certain button did underneath the counter, I said I dunno and told him to press it to find out!! He did and nothing happened so we though nothing of it.

A hour or so later an armed police van turns up with coppers running into the building shouting and screaming and nobody knowing what was going on. All the customers got rather frightened as well. Apparently it cost a lot of money for a false alarm and the police said if there is one more false alarm they won't bother turning up after that!!

Well they were armed and they were police!! Whether they were the rapid response unit I don't know, I think a good sketch would be to have them burst in through the doors, laser beams and guns pointing everywhere, and then one of them asks where the Dulux emulsion is!!

Stacey - yes, get yourself into a club, they are usually offered club stands and you pop your motor on there. Alternatively as JamesM mentions, the forum may have a stand on and you may get in there - depends on the number of cars allowed.
