Got a text from my mate last night to say that if I got all the rebuild parts, that him and his tutor could rebuild it for me , thats a good result. Know I'm just deciding on a few other things like, electric fuel pump, fuel filter, etc. So any views on them or any other things I should consider?

Forgot to say the insurance company got back to my Dad yesterday, and there is some good news, and some bad news, so I'll start with the good:

Good

1. The blotchy paint was not polished/finished off right, so they will do that.
2. The door has been fixed, apparantly they have raised the hindges , don't really know how they have done that.
3. They have fitted the rear arch properly.
4. They are going to replace the glass in my drivers side door.
5. And as a bonus, repair my scuttle that is all cracked.

Bad

1. They say the overspray isn't theirs, so won't be sorting that out, but its only on the sill and in the wheel arch.
2. They are not accepting liability on the scuttle, so it wont be covered in their 5 year guarantee, but it is going to be repaired for free, so I'm not bothered about that.

So all in all, not a bad result, will just have to see how it comes back.

Erm, not sure, the guy said most of the work had been done on Monday and Tuesday, and the glass was ordered on Monday, so depends when they get the glass and how quick the can finish is, but doubt it will be before the weekend.

At least they are taking care of most of it, with some work you should be able to get the overspray off yourself.

Found a charge cooler on Vmax Scart's website for £220, can you get them anywhere cheaper?

Well bought some 4 pot calipers off shiftyseamus yday for £45, can wait for them to come, been waiting to buy some for ages at the right price.

Right, benn a little while since I updated this so here goes...well...not a lot to say really, went to see the mini at the garage on Saturday, and it is look 100% better than it did, and I am do happy with the way it has been repaired now. And it is coming back on Friday, so will get some pictures up then of how it looks, then will get started on it on Saturday hopefully, if it has a place to stay. I cant wait to get it back now.

Make sure you go over it with a magnifying glass, just in case Glad they are fixing their mistakes though.
