Right ok long time no update!
Ok where to start?

So after a few thousand miles things have started to go a little scruffy round the edges! Partly my fault for not being on top of all things mini as I should be

- she's looking unloved and starting to show it - time to give her a good old clean before Bingley!
I'll try and break it down into chunks!
Interior:
Spi covers now on MPi frames, green carpet, black mats, black dashboard, MPI column and wheel.
Job wise, clean interior, refit carpet, solve water ingress, re-seal drivers door, paint dash and clean seats!
Exterior:
Group 5 arches, Deepdish 6x12 superlights polished rim, almond green paing (various shades) old english white roof with attractive cb arial mark (long story, it fell off its mag-mount on the dual carriageway!)

lots of tatty chrome, 4 Rover spots (not working) black handles.
Jobs, tidy chrome, polish car & t-cut roof, wire up spots and re-fit boot mount.
Engine:
currently 98,000 on the clock (ish) and starting to get tired! Changed thermostat, fanbelt and oil service today with Adi & Paul.
Adi confirmed that the tapping noise i've been hearing is in fact the timing chain starting to come to the end of its serviceable life. So its going to get done when the car gets sorted out and engine gets an overhaul.
So long term jobs are:
strip the car down and re paint roof and body (same colours), remove all rust and replace panels where applicable (rear valance is already needing replacing) rebuild engine with new rings, shells and chain. refurb exterior of engine and paint and protect engine bay and tart up.
So not really a lot to do is there? I feel as though 3 years of this tidy looking mini being completed have flown by and now i'm having to undo all the effort i put in just to get it back to where it was!
SO moral of the story (sorry i'm a teacher, so there has to be a moral) is be very
VERY careful who you get to do the work on your mini as if its not done to exacting standards it will fall apart rapidly! 1k for a paint job thats rubbish, £500 of welding that has not been done to a good standard (no rust protection under it) and a whole list of errors along the way, which no doubt i'll post on here !

so the photos, lets end the update with something to look at!
