sony speakers aren't the best and not very expensive to begin with, although better than the budget brands and obvioulsy better than nothing!

I wouldnt buy that for a fiver. I do not rate X plod at all. Instead of buying a sub and then buying amp to power it, buy amp and then buy sub that can be powered by it. it works out better that way. Oh and stay away from sony

Amp 3 (kenwood) is the best by far out of them it's got a lpf/hpf it's one of the most powerfull out of them ones, it's a good brand and it's 2ohm stable to offer a bit of flexability. As for the sub this one is so much better for a £5 more:

Get yourself some Mutant gear from Halfords! a sub and amp will cost you £80 and they sound great! got loads of good reviews and they look the mutts!
Mutant site
I think as long as you're not a connoisseur you won't really be able to tell the difference! :erm:

They are really good mate! I'd recommend them to anyone on a bit of a budget!
I've got one NW280SP powering the NW1250SB sub and another powering some 6x9's and it bangs!
Good gear, cheap price.
(if you'd have got it last week you'd have got 10% off from halfords too but i won't mention that!)

please don't do that no offence pooky but the extra £30 or so will be a very wise investment the kenwood etc.. will outlast the mutant easily build quality....., Also don't go to halford much cheaper at caraudiodirect. U could get a decent sub and amp for bought £110 and u won;t regret it compared with mutant gear.

Hey no offence taken!
I'm no expert! I don't think i'd be able to notice any difference between any equipment! I'd just notice the larger dent in my wallet!

mutants cheap, that really summs it up, you get what you pay for
sony are awful, full stop
for the same money, JBL are much better, above that take a look at infinity or fusion, however i dont rate either compared with say Focal, JL or Rockford Fosgate
