Apart from the fact racing on the queens highway isn't to be encouraged, I'd say leave him alone as it obviously gave him a buzz to keep up and that's what Mini driving is all about.

plus the most difinitave test of driver/car ability is in a straight line from a standing start !!

mate, i don't doubt that you have a fast mini, however you still aint ever going to beat an sti impreza.

also again as stated, it's not wise to boast about speeding on here.

Give the guy a break! :dontgetit:

I beat a new golf gti, he'd been up my a*se for ages, then coming up to a roundabout he went in the right hand lane to overtake me, I put my foot down and shot off ahead! He stayed back then! He got beaten by a girl in a Mini! :- How embarrassing!

How do you now it was an Impreza, I wouldn't have thought you'd be able to see past his caravan?

I don't think you deserve an automatic slating, as you could have been driving relatively safely and if we also didn't enjoy pushing our cars occasionally we'd all be driving 850's. I doubt a 1380 would keep up with a sub 6 second 0-60 car if it was really going flat out, just be careful you don't need to compare braking or crumple zones!
