top speed? ahh well theres no chance of a mini with a standard gearbox getting fast enough to reach the impreza's limited top i shouldnt think

Not condoning your speeding or anything, but good to hear people having fun driving there minis.

And to the point of minis not being able to keep up or beat other modern cars, whether it be on a track, strip or even on the road, is ath load of bull. There are alot of highly tuned minis about, just up the road from me theres an older chap with a rally mini, still a-series, putting out 136bhp at the fly, and thats true as i was at slark with him when it was on the rollers. And what about miniwilliams on here, his turbos capable of putting down over 300bhp. SO there ARE plenty of cars about that could and have ruined cars like this, but the public highway is no place to be doing it.

well all i can say is that if you put an STI or WRX impreza and a mini whatever with an a-series engine on a race track, the mini's going to be sh#t on.

some good videos there. And id like to point out that the mini in the three videos is road legal aswell, so its possible!

That doesn't reali prove anything. Yes the Mini's are both fast but where are the Scoob's to compare to?

Also, if you watch both the turbo's, both are finding it hard to find traction on acceleration. A Scooby, being 4WD will not have that problem.

My 1.8 non turbo estate will do alot over 110mph so a turbo is going to *yellow human water* all over mine!

i put money on it 99.9% of people with minis have had "fun" on the roads with others in their minis! dont have to speed to do it, just getting up to the speed limit before the others! im always doing it at roundabouts, when "cool kids" in there saxos or pugs drive up my backside, just put my foot down when im coming of the roundabout, get to the speed limit and wait for them to catch me up! normally takes a while! and when they do, they dont drive up my backside anymore! and if we both go onto a twisty B road, like the one going into my village from the one direction, there no where to be seen after, but i still havent broke any speed limits! i know of somebody that had the police nock on his door after he left them for dust on twisty road, and they didnt give him a telling of, they asked him if he had considered becoming a police driver, because they noticed he hadnt broken the limit, but still got away from them! give the guy a break, yeah nobody agrees with the 90mph bit, but what is the point in having a mini if it doesnt bring a smile to your face! just find a more legal way of doing it! perhaps save the excessive speeds for a track day
