Thanx cookie - I do try you know. :dontgetit:

Sorry for lack of update only been trying to clear garage & minishack space for shell & engine. Constructing test bench/jig for engine using wooden pallet base built up to accept corsa subframe etc (pix 2 follow). :techsupport:

Also wifey has new toy to play with - ooooh I hear you say. :P

It's one of the last off the production line, so has all the nobs, bells, whistles & spensiff equipment thrown on it.

I present as she calls it ------------> THE BEAST :( :- :-

Any news? :P

Hi - well, after loadza work and my winter hybreeenation, I've finally donned my overalls, dusted off the tools and done some work.

Un-clingfilmed & moved engine on long journey from "minishack" to garage to meet Corsa subbie.

Brief meeting between shell & engine - quote "I'm not really going in there am I?" :(

Intention is to produce B*st*rd subbie from both corsa & mini, a sort of MORSA subframe. :D :D

Watch this space. :dozing:

The corsa frame looks really heavy. Would it not be easier and lighter to take measurements of the points for the mounts and make up a custom mini frame using box section?

Checked weight and time corsa subbie is stripped down/ back end removed to fit mini pillars on, weight is comparable to existing. :D

I'm suprised nobody has done this before - got corsa subbie off fleabay for a song!!!! :D

Not too bad then, will you need to shorten the front of it aswell to get it under the frontend? I take it the engine mounts are the brackets on the front rail and the mounts on the rear?
