Hey, as a hint from bristolminimad who suggested doing this! .. :tongue: Does anyone have tips for when I take my driving test? I take it on 1st Sept, so I have a while but some tips would be much appreciated!

just do exactley what you do in your lessons, just concentrate solid and the time will fly. dont take any chances and watch your speed

dont reverse into a fench before you get out of the car park * the examiners dont like that..............and you'll fail!

you'll be fine! just dont get nervous, stay calm and just do exactly what he asks!

i had 3 attempts, but finally learnt that staying calm and not getting nervous always helps!

Stay calm, deep breaths and do exactly what they say!!

ALSO make it obvious that u're looking in ur mirrors :cheese:

Just relax, they aint out to get you! Try n have a chat with him while you are driving, be comfortable with the examiner. Watch the road tho :tongue:

Definately agree. Move your head to make the mirrors obvious.

Wear cool clothes (dont mean a short skirt...but may help), the car will steam up if you get stressed.

Make sure you eat something before even if you cant stomach it, the brain suffers first when blood sugar drops.

Dont worry about failing, its not the end of the world (took me a couple of go's).

i tried this and i got carted off to a nutt house! didn't work for me but hey might work for you!

Just relax. Your lesson before your test will go S**t. Everybodys does. :tongue:
When you get to the Exam place. Try to relax and just be friendly to your examiner. Dont go in with the over confident approach. However, Dont be too hessitant. I got a minor for that. :nugget:

1st test; failed for not using mirrors enough

2nd test; failed for not using mirrors enough

3rd test; failed for hesitating too much

4th test; failed because the examiner got out the wrong side of the bed that morning (my opinion)

5th test; 30 seconds after doing my emergency stop a cat ran out in front of the car, i checked mirrors applied brakes etc, looked across to see the examiner peeling his clipboard off his face!! 2 minutes later i realize i'm in the outside lane at some lights, i'm thinking to myself s*** what do i do now? thinking i'd already screwed things up with the cat, i put my foot down boy racer styleee & got pole position, result: PASS !!!

whatever happens during the test, never give up as you are allowed to make a few mistakes before they fail you.

wow you want boy racer style and passed! my test lasted 13 1/2 mins, got told return to the test station, i thought i had failed, but i passed! got two minors both for going too quick, i done 42 in a 40 and 33 in a 30.
