Grimmy, regarding the armco, you need to take a credit card and whole lot of HTFU. When I went with my dad in his 996, it was the 1st time I'd driven his car, and about 2 years since the last time I'd driven a high(ish) power RWD. I just set myself a goal of achieving about 85% of what I wanted to, and that worked pretty well. Given that, I had no heart in the mouth moments, yet I still managed to have 100% fun and got pretty sideways around a lot of corners. My dad wasn't too impressed though...
I will have sold my Mini by then so hopefully I will be in a B4 Passat Estate if that's OK? '93/'94 ish?

I once had my mum's up to 135mph on the M6.... erm i mean a private road, and it was very unstable very twitchy..... I had to drive it quickly to avoid being seen driving it...
also Dave it could just be a matter of time...... tick tock, tick tock.....
