I've only ever owned one car, which I bought in Summer this year. I've always been insured on my parents' cars so I've had no need to buy my own.

I learnt to drive on a 1993 Vauxhall Astra 1.4. I can't remember why, but dad had to take it to the garage for something major. Maybe the head gasket. He got about a mile away from the garage after having it fixed when the clutch went. :D That was the end of that car, then.

I was insured on the 2000 Peugeot 406 1.8 Estate a month after I passed. All my friends were impressed by this big green estate when they were still learning on old banger little hatch backs. :)

In the four and a half years since then, I've used: BMW 525i Touring (Didn't get to use it much), Jaguar XJ Sovereign (Very nice car with a 4 litre engine. I used it more than anyone else), Peugeot 307 (Fell apart very soon after dad bought it), Vauxhall Corsa ( :( ), Volkswagen Passat (I used it for a week before we got rid of it), Peugeot 407 SW (Quite a nice car for the money. Current main car).

1) 1.0 corsa (never buy one)

what makes you say that? a few of my mates have them, they rave about them, saying that theyve never had anything else!

We have a 1.2 "05" Corsa. It's pap.

Bear in mind I am 39 and have driven since 15 (yeah you could drive at 15 in Washington state if you lived in a rural county). I have owned 52 cars. Not saying all of them were sweet or anything...just 52. Some were sweet but certainly not all.

to be honest its not really a lot, (well it is compared to me) but a friend of mine who buys cars keeps them for a while and tidies them up at the young age of 21 has currently had...wait for it 84 cars

He has currently just bought himself a V6 powered 406 coupe

Lol, heres a little list-
Before i passed, MG Metro, Mini Red Hot, Mini Mayfair(MG engine), Mini city, Mini Mayfair(different with another MG lump),
Then when i passed, Mini Clubman(first car on the road), then got the second MG lumped mini on the road(second car on the road), carbed cooper for about a week while the mot and tax ran out, Mini Sprite(for about a month til i got my cooper), then my cooper, then the minis died and i had a TD306, Cooper back on the road, and now i'm driving a poop TD escort, until after xmas when i will have the cooper and MK3 on the road

But while driving them i bought a Pug 1.9 GTi, MK2 1000, Mini van, Cooper SPi, 1275GT, Mini Marcos(no reg) and my just finished project a MK3 1000.

Some have gone the majority remain :) and most of them need a resto :D at least i'm not short of a project when i get board :(

1st car: Ford Fiesta Mk3 - crashed it two months after passing test.
2nd car: Vauxhall Astra Mk3 - sold it to my brother, still owns it now.
3rd car: Mini Cooper Sport - sold it for £1000 profit.
4th car: Ford Focus Mk1 - current car, about to sell it to my mum.
Next car: Honda Civic coupe - still looking for this one, hoping to buy one tomorrow.

That's 5 cars in 3 1/2 years.

First was a red Mk3 Mini Scamp! no heater and a leaky roof meant i had a Mk3 Golf until the summer after when i swapped it for a '72 cooper s (replica)
but that wasnt realy my cuppa so sold it to buy Flash (in my avatar :D)
pics of the others in my sig
only been driving 16 months
I think the only hing id swap my Mini for would be a Honda Prelude
My dad used to have a 2.2v-tec 4 wheel steering one and i drove it and loved it
Insurance was a bit steep though.......
Handled amazing and easy to park!
Why am i still awake! gotta be up in 4 hours....
