We should be back on the 2nd, but they've decided to give us the day off, by taking a day out of next years hols entitlement!

did the same to us, we only work a half day friday tho. so everyone has an afternoon off next year
bit daft really and i dont think there supposed to do it. if they chose to close it shouldnt come out of our holiday.

That's something they can do actually.

They could choose to close for a set period (like factory shutdown) and make people take that time off as part of their annual leave.

Luckily, my job's pretty flexible so I can usually fit in loads of holidays when I want to take them.

Yep that's what we get here, You automatically get a week or how ever long we get taken out of our holidays for christmas before we even get them. same with bank holidays (although there is the option to work them)

but you get over it!

Going home from uni on saturday, start working at home next monday. working mon-wed. xmas day off, then I dunno yet, not been asked to do any more other than those 3 days yet

2pm on xmas eve, back on the 27th and 28th, then nights from 30th............ So my xmas break this year is minimal and new years - non-existent. Though I'm not working much of January.

I finished on friday last week, until the 5th. There is no production at work so they gave everyone an extra week off, even though we volunteered to go in and get on top of servicing work and general maintenance of the site.
Credit crunch FTW. lol

well i got laid off on friday(12th) to get a phone call and im back in work today ,damn i was hoping on working on my mini this week before doing the family thing over xmas.ohh the joys of being self employed during "the credit crunch".getting told no work,tax man putting a xmas bonus in my bank then getting my job back

finish 24th back in 27th and off new years day that if we havent closed alll togther

23rd to the 5th, though the last 3 working days will be easy going with kids breaking up on the 18th, so a school all to ourselves
