WOW, This car must be one of, if not THE lightest mini's on the forum.

You have to get it on a weigh bridge once your done.

These carbon parts look awsome, can I have some? :dontgetit:

The grill and surround is a carbon wet dream,as is the rest of this car. But what if it blows away in a strong wind????

Haha Gotta love Carbon Fiber.
I don't think it'll blow away but it is gonna be very light...
Just have to make sure all the carbon is securely fastened to some steel, somewhere...

Miniboo wants a Carbon Clubman Grill huh...lol

Joah and Sweetser, If your serious about wanting a carbon grill let me know as I do have the moulds to make more, and will be making
myself one soon...

Looks good Azz, nice to see it all finished and stuck together. Iv seen it close up and its very nice, alot of hours go into any carbon fibre part.

As much as I dont like the look of carbon fibre (nothing nasty intended), I am very impressed with this car. Its a very good job, the detail is great and I look forward to knowing the finished weight.

I think this build looks AWESOME, although I still don't think it'll be as light as Pauls Sprint. As much as I love the carbon, aside from the front end, there isn't THAT much huge weight saving to be had from all the little carbon bits, whereas paul has gone to a whole new level with his tubular front subframe and radius arms and rear discs and stuff like that.....

Paul, does yours still have glass at that weight, or is it plastic?

So do I!
Could you make these? I have a CF rocker cover (yes a real one), sound's like there wern't many made. It's in the style of the 1275GT polished covers with the slats at the top, and would like to have a few more bits under the engine bay in CF.
PM me if you can make them, and maybe even could do a deal with some polycarb windows www.acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk
<<That's us!
Cheers

Cheers Ben, definitely took me allot of hours...Will be over to show it to you guys this week at some point, gotta get the
fiesta through MOT first though...

Yep Carbon Fiber showing the weave is an aquired taste some love it, some don't...But you can always paint your carbon parts and have it stealth, looking like standard but still be a third of the weight...
I agree it will be a light car when finished but definitely not the lightest...
Too many extra shiny bits...

Awesome
Would you be interested in a set of windows? Would be a shame to do all this lightweight work then put glass back in...
We do bronze tinted aswell which looks really nice. All prices on the website do include sliders in both front windows, but I'm sure we can come to some sort of deal with a CF grille in exchange for a set of windows and a little extra cash.
