Yea I noticed the Carbon Classics a few days ago. What's happening with regards to Carbon Weezel and Carbon Classics? Are they separate companies, will Carbon Weezel still be running?

Oh no I dont work for Carbon Weezel, He's a good Friend and I did help him out allot with the company over the years,
but this will definitely be my own company...
Of Coarse Carbon Weezel will still be going he's doing well, Wind Tunnel testing and everything...

Hey all, Sorry about the lack of progress and my slow response time...

I will be doing an update on my build thread over the next couple of days,
although admittedly there hasn't been masses of progress due to work problems.
Thanks for all your support, it definitely helps with the motivation...

Also i'm not sure when the Carbon Classics site will be up, soon hopefully,
still work in progress i'm afraid...

Hi again...
Just a little update on progress.
Although not much has happened over the cold, cold winter period I have made a couple of carbon
bits for the car. The first piece I made was a new Gear Shifter Housing as the steel one I had made
the year before just wasn't really nice enough. So I went about making a mould to make a Carbon one.
I liked the look of the shifter housing being turned around 180 degrees as I don't like the steady rod
bracket sticking up at the front, so I kept the same configuration as the older steel housing.
Although not fitted to the car yet the shifter feels very sturdy in the housing and im really looking forward
to using the shifter when the cars ready...

The next item on my list of things to make was a bonnet to replace my tired old heavy one from the previous build.
This was allot more straight forward to make than most items so I pressed ahead. The final weight was a light and healthy 1kg. Which was a good couple of kg lighter than my old (reskinned) Curley bonnet.

Then after making a friend a mk1 cooper grille and moustache he asked if I would make him a set of bumpers
and over-riders to match. It had been a while since I'd made a set of bumpers, which id previously made while
working with Nick. This was what I came up with.

I had tried my best to match the weave on the bumpers to match the over-riders which made them look really nice in the finish. The final weight for each over rider was
33/34 grams and the bumpers each weighed about 235 grams, a darn sight lighter than the original chrome
items which weighed 1650 grams for the bumper and 260 grams for each over rider...
A saving of over 3.5 bags of sugar.
Always nice when you want to go faster
I have made a couple of other items but not taken pictures yet...
More updates soon...
