we had problems at work with pickeys stealing alluminum signs for scrap £2000 worth in one weekend(that happened twice) so we borded up the windows inside and out we put mesh inbetween the wood which is welded to the steal frames (not sure y they didnt just take the frames would of weighd more) and then put big bars across the doors so they dont open and the main do to go in and out has got 2 pad locks on the out side (its a stable type door with 2 sections that open top n bottom) so once youve unlocked the pad locks u then have to unlock another lock on the inside they have tried to get in and they gave up.

they havent learnt to use the door yet but only time will tell!!!!!

YetI

ps dont worry about alarms im not saying there not good but it depends were the building is and how many people there are about to hear it because if the pikeys realise theres noone comming to find what set it off it wont bother them

makes good sence but it might deter them if there was flashing lights because you can see flashin lights for miles(over exgageration) but they catch your eye more than the noise i think

just put loads of locks on the door and dead bolts on the windows if you have any and extra security where ever you can you could even get some of them metal bars that come out of the floor so they can get there van/pick-up anywhere near your stuff then they would have to walk back and foward and if u had flashing lights then they might leave it alon

tomorrow, i think some large objects might be placed in awkward places like we used to do, just to make the job more time consuming and noisey

I absolutely hate scum like this.

I would go with the shooting option. Seriously - not to kill, just to injure.

On a serious note, is the building insured? If they torch it I would want to make sure it was covered. Also, is there any link back to yourself or where you live? I would also consider getting some of the hardest guys in the area you know all stick on balaclavas and beat the living hell out of them.

On the one hand, I wouldn't want to sink to their level. But on another, you know the police wont do anything - they are too scared. These pikeys often run amock in places and there is nothing the police can do. If the police wont do anything, sometimes, other measures need to be taken.

Good luck with the problem.

To the guy whose business was broken into for the third time, I hope you get that sorted as well.

PS You could always sneak in and set light to all of the caravans. And just to make sure, a lot of people need to phone the fire brigade to smaller controlled fires, just to make sure there is no one to put out the caravans.

.... they would of killed people if they hadnt of moved out of the way..just to get away!

Yep.
Everyone should think carefully about that before going all Charles Bronson. Folk like these have no fear of the law, have less to loose than you and will ALWAYS be willing to go further than you are.
Most folk on here are Honest Joes with family, jobs, lives etc....its a lot to loose. Pikeys are pefectly willing to hurt (even kill if needed) they wont think twice about torching something out of spite, if you *yellow human water* them off, they may well decide to burn your house down.
Its all very well saying to shoot them, but could anyone here actually do that? I very much doubt it, especially as YOU would almost certainly be the one in the dock for it.

Keep what you have hidden, and make it as hard, time-consuming and noisy to get at as you possbly can. With a little luck they will just move to an easier target. Its about the best you can hope for these days.
Locks, chains, barbed wire, block entrances with heavy objects, have floodlights, and sirens, and preferably a big, scary-looking dog.

Read through all of this thread and this is the most sensible advice.

Morons like these don't care about the law, they don't care if they hurt you or damage your property, these are the kind of people you need to stay away from and not confront.

All the people who have advocated burnings/shootings/lynch mobs, this is real life not a computer game or a movie.

People get hurt doing stupid things like this, burning down the caravans is just stupid, you will go to prison end of, what did you achieve - nothing?

The only thing you can do is keep everything hidden/bolted down, make it as inaccessable as possible.

Its sad that this what we have to do, however theres no point in making their job any easier.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH thats good. Im genuinly laughing out loud.

I dont think you understand the mentality of these people.
No doubt you will come back and say you are a third-dan black belt kickboxing ninja, but getting all Crouching Tiger isnt much use against a Landcruiser full of pikeys who are there to break into something - ie carrying boltcutters, prybars and hammers.

Say you did manage to surprise them and give them a beating....then what? Getting the odd beating is just par for the course for this kind of people. If I were pikey scum and received a kicking trying to break into your garage, I would go back to my caravan to lick my wounds, then the next night I would be back with 20 co-pikeys. You would be in a coma and your garage would be burnt to the ground. While you were on the operating table having holes drilled in your head to relieve fluid on the brain, I would be hitching my Elddis up to my Landcruiser and tootling off to another camp - totally untraceable.

As for shooting them - well, that didnt work out too well for Tony Martin did it?

Its the same for all undesireable elements in society - pikeys, chavscum, junkies etc - they dont live by our rules. They have nothing to loose and no fear of the law. If a crackhead steals your car stereo, he doesnt give a damn if he is caught - he already has a record 10 pages long - another conviction wont bother him. He wont go to jail because jails are full, and his legal-aid solicitor and social worker will say how sorry he is and how he has promised to go into rehab and some rose-tinted spec wearing judge will say "ok then" and let them off with a £40 fine. Which they wont pay - why would they? - not paying a fine is just another tab on the end of their record. Whereas if someone like us gives them a kicking - it is us who end up in the dock, paying our own legal defence, where the judge will bang on about how vigilante justice in unnaceptable, and WE end up with a record. If we are fined, we HAVE to pay it, because CCJ`s and bailifs affect us badly, unlike their effect on crackheads, who have nothing. Yes, im sure some folk on here already have criminal records, but for the majority, that sort fo thing has potentially serious effects - especially if they have (or apply for) jobs that require background checks.

Its very easy to sit behind a monitor and say shoot them, beat them up and burn their caravans - but in the real world, you would do no such thing. And if you did, you would be the looser in the end.

Well nothing seems to have happened last night, so they'll probably end up coming back tonight....great!!
However some heavy objects have been moved around as obstructions, its about as much as you can do, as its always said, if they want something they will get it!
i have no intention of going rambo on these people, tried that last year just ended up with a broken car and alot of stress!

Good luck mate, I've been reading this topic since it popped up last night. Just make sure you're safe, you can replace possessions (eventually) but you cant replace yourself!

where abouts in t.wells are you? due to the amount of scrap cars we got we had to get those big bollard type posts that you can stick in the ground and will stop even the largest of pikey wagons they brilliant,

try digging large pits with slippery walls/spikes in the bottom, then put loads of warning signs up stating exactly where the hazardous pits of suffering are, then the pikeys will fall in anyway because lets face it, how many can read/would bother reading when the gleam of scrap metal is in their eyes

Uhm.. just a thought.. i dont know the layout of your area, but might it be worth getting a few concrete blocks put in the way?
you know the sort along the side of the motorway.. they arnt hard to get hold of if you ring around local companys..
Sort of place them in such a way that they cant get a transit near, and far away enough that they will make a lot of noise if they attempt carrything anything that far..

That way you can have your moke hooked up to a load of moo moo bells and if they try to nab it they will make more noise trying to get around the assult course of concrete  (also its not the type of stuff they will want to steal as scrap!)

We've put out a similar type of obstruction large wooden crates the width of a car, piled 3 high!! aswell as some trailers, and a couple of crates full of hardcore..we used to have to do this with the wooden door, but when we put the steel one in, kinda didnt expect the return due to the effort envolved...but oh well.
Yer, tonight will be the test if they come back tonight then they want something in there...i have an idea what but wouldnt like to say on a public forum.
