As above, don't send them a penny, they changed the amount so it's irrelevant.
Seems to me they're trying to grab money they have no right to, though at the same time if you did drive your car in those hours, but didn't take the sureterm policy you may have been driving uninsured, and that's a bit naughty?

my cars been SORN for 3 months it hasnt moved out the garage
