hi everyone..i think i have made a mistake can anyone help? :proud:
i just bought myself a group of 5 cooper alloy wheels on ebay pretty much as an impulse buy..well, i think the measuring its wrong for my car..i have a '93mayfair with 4.5 width wheels, the one i bought, 4 of them anyway, seam to be a 6inches and one of them a 5..(the guy told me that its the spare one.)
is it possible to put them on anyway without stroctural work done to the car?or i need to spend further money on it?
also one of the wheels paint job its very bubbly would it cost much to refurbish them?
is it true that the spare wheel its smaller?
i just want to know if its fairly easy and cheap to put them on otherwise i would have to flog them again and get myself something thinner in width..
help help help =]

I think you will have to make body mods! Think its 5 or 5.5 width without mods.

anything over 5.5 in width will req cutting in various degrees
if they are sportspack wheels they will be 13 by 6,and WILL req cutting from arch/front panel area to prevent rubbing and achieve full lock in either direction
these are sportspack cooper alloys if your not sure what they look like

you don't measure the tyre to get the size, its the bead seat (or what ever its called)

if they are the same as that topic they will fit straight on, but you may want to fit 5mm spacers on the rear if running 165 tyres :proud:

i think i will take them to a tyre shop or kwik fit to see the real measure of them and what they suggest..as really i dont know what size they are..
if they 6wide i think i will re sell them and get some that won't need body mod..

Cant you just measure the rims on the inside, not the outside tyre width?
