thanks for the welcome guys,
the ax gt engine is an early carb one [the same as a peugeot 205 xs] and makes a strong 85 bhp,
and 85 lb ft of torque. its all alloy with a close ratio 5 speed box and a twin choke solex carb as standard,
[so no ecu to worry about]. 7000 rpm red line , enough to propel the [slightly heavier but more aerodynamic]
citroen to 60 mph in 9 seconds and 110 mph and instant throttle response.
its good on fuel too, and under 1400 cc so cheap road tax [can you tell im scottish?], i did 2000 miles in two months
in it before killing bambi , and its very nice to drive.....not scary fast like a vtec or red top conversion, but bl**dy quick for a mini
all i have to do is fix it now!!!!
