oh right haha :- maybe you could use bonnet pins or make a bracket for an internal bonnet release mech from the scuttle, weld the spring from the front of the bonnet onto the back? you have your catch :D

iwas going to mount something on the old bonnet hinge that way i know it should line-up. i do have an internal catch but i need a diff type

The second chapter has now begun involving engine rebuild and redoing a few bits around the car. more pictures this evening.

well after fully stripping my first A series.

with a wobbly flywheel and some movement in the camshaft found, along with some slightly worn valve guides and worn rocker gear, blowing head gasket, carbon build up from running rich since 2009, glazed bores... the list goes on.

this rebuild is well needed. I'm unable to make up my mind at the minute as to whether to build a standard engine bar a stage one tune, or build a fast road 998.
