i ran a 1380 last year and proved to be spot on, your be ok aslong as your not running lower than a 3.44 diff,
but its not all about going as fast as you can

I also just watched your lap, very good on the edge stuff!! Very impressed seeing as that was only your 3rd ever lap, well done mate!!

What sort of speeds were you reaching?

i think i touched 115mph as i didnt really look at the speed but did the rpm and i hit 5500rpm which i no is around the 115mph mark,

can anyone work out what the average speed is for a 9.30 lap?

Speed = Distance/Time

So 84 MPH is your average.

Crocks 9.30 is kick arse! Quickest I done out of my 5 laps was a 10.26 in my Dolomite. Was the only lap I done on my own. Was hoping to be on the Ring at the same time as some Mini's to see how they compared


I am hoping for low low 9's this year.

1000kg and 220+hp should see that.

overweight due to pure guns mate ..... or was that pete?

hopefully my mini will be finished.... and nick will be taking his or a car, so i can put my luggage in it save weight and fuel consumption lol

Can I please re-iterate, especially for those with under 100 or so laps experience: DO NOT AIM FOR PARTICUALR LAP TIMES, YOU MIGHT DIE!
Just aim to be smooth and safe, ideally video your laps and review them later to get times. Take it from me - chasing lap times year 1 - crash, chasing lap times year 2 - blown up engine. Haven't timed myself since just get told by passengers every now and again.

Should be a straight enough conversion? The Scimitar's built around the old 'Essex V6' isn't it? Is the Cosworth based around that or the 'Cologne' engine? Either way, should be awesome!
