it has to have a mirrors set up so the examiner can see all around the car as if he was driveing, thats wht i was told when i was offered to do it in my car about 3 years ago.yeah it went throught and had no problems completly clean sheet
Well if you're happy to drive your Mini, then use it on your next retest.
I did and I passed no problem.

I Passed 3rd time, first 2, nerves, had under 4 minors on all but kept getting 1 serious. When i did pass, it was a new car i only had an hour to learn in. And sometimes it depends on what the examiner is like. Try the kalms, they worked a treat, (but it can take 2weeks to get into your system) just keep at it and soon you'll be laughing at this

By the way good luck for your next one

At the end of the day your letting your nerves get the better of you, Try some kalms but not to many! I know someone that took a few to many and can only remember bits of her test! Your examiner will have a lot to do with whether you pass or fail just on how nervous they make you feel, when I took my test the bloke I got was brilliant even though he'd just had an argument with someone before we got in the car! Shame I couldn't shut the bloke up but it did take my mind off c**ping myself.
and I only got 2 minors first time round!

Keep in mind what the examiner will be looking for and try your best to demonstrate that without trying too much.
Friday 13th - unlucky for some, hopefully not you!
Good luck

also, my first two tests were in guildford, and my third i did in farnham, in my mini, and passed! all i needed was an extra mirror (halfords - fiver tops) and that was it.
i felt so much more confindent, and as i was so used to the mini, i didnt have to concentrate on how to drive the car, just on how to drive.
and as for your test being at 8.40, its one of the best times for some people. loads of traffic. stop start. as long as you have your clutch control sorted it'll be easy. mate of mine had his at half 8, got out the test centre, 15 mins to get down the road, did a turn in the road, 15 mins back, and then a bay park back at the test station. hardly went anywhere due to traffic.
keep it calm. think if you pass, you can take the mini out for a drive!!! take your time and good luck!

The second time the examiner was cool and I just played it cool too and as I was in my Mini I couldn't go wrong.
However, the evening before my second driving test, my late father gave me a hell of a driving lesson. He had me doing hill starts on steep hills, reversing down narrow lanes, basically a terrible experience for me.
But he was right to do that, because the actual driving test the next day was an absolute breeze in comparison.
Plus of course I'd driven hundreds of miles in my Mini whilst learning, so I really couldn't go wrong.

today i drove ok and there was a few mess ups that would not have failed me but today whilst parrel parking i tapped the kirb but didnt bump it i also stalled the car turning into a junction and stopped in the way of the car that let me go i then started up again and stalled the third time of starting i went very slow and tryied my best and pulled away i done ok on my lesson today except for that incident would that have cost me my test?
i have another lesson tomorow but after tomorow my driving instructor is leaving to join a dust round as it pays more and i have to go with his college who i will also have lessons with before the test
i am doing alot of driving around the area i am going to take my test and i have also purchased kalms £4.40 from sainsburys but its worth it if they work

Personally my first instructor was rubbish, when I then went onto my second instructor he taught everything so much easier.
Just take you time and you will get the hang of it
