The jap spec Evo IX had 317bhp as standard. And what about the Evo VIII FQ400? 400bhp and FQ400 Evo X? Thats 404bhp and a top speed of 282mph

All 2 litre engines too

282mph?? Quicker than a Veyron? Are you sure you haven't looked at 282kph?

A top speed of 170 mph and a 0-60 time of around 3.5 seconds

when you say fastest, do you mean acceleration wise or top speed wise? for acceleration i would of gone with the atom or the R500, wouldnt even know where to start with top speeds though!

exactly!!!

theres a reason the veyron can reach that speed and thats simply because the amount of power, why u think dragsters are able to go over 300? because they have about 2000bhp, you need power and ALOT of it at that speed to overcome the opposing forces, air resistance, friction coefficience etc etc a car like a mitsy simply wont be stream lined enough to cut through the air cutting down the opposing forces alot

will probs be a mazda rx8 or evo or scooby as theyre all fast jap turbo or n/a engines i think the wankle at 1.3 litre capacity is best 230bhp

evo 10 top speed is 160 mph and subaru is 158mph

nah thats the top speed on the fq 300 not even the 340 lol probs bit higher for the fq400 but the gearbox shud be the same from memory as i LOVE EVOS my fav car in the world id have one now if i could insure it

I would say for acceleration it would have to be the 300 atom. Something like 2.7 secs to 60.

I would agree with the fq 400 for top end but not too sure. Gear ratios and what not.

Mod cars wise the norris evo is one of the fastest car in europe and im pretty sure its still 2l. If not the fensport corolla is extremely fast.

Did anyone see the top gear when they pulled a caravan with an evo? Think they got upto about 140mph lol! I seem to remember that was pushing 600 and odd horse power and was over £80,000. Can't remember exactly sorry, but it was absolutely rapid! Anyone else remember?
