My mini is due its insurance. Last year with full no claims, class one use, stage 1, 1275. It was £250. I'm 29, and with Admiral.

I now use a different car for work, so i'm going for a limited milage with mods type policy.

I have used HIC (fell out monumentaly), and Adrian Flux (no probs). But who does everyone use?

If possible could you give details like age, sex, mods, milage, etc etc

Maybe one day we could get a discounted policy from somewhere.

My renewal quote from HIC for starting in September was £275. 20, 1 years no claims, standard 1976 998 Clubby. Limited to 4k miles I think.

Had a wee disagreement with HIC a few years ago, so wont be going back.

Although I didnt realise an insurance discount had been aranged. What proof do you need?

Would other co's do the same?

Is it such a bad disagreement that you'd never go back?

I just ask because for me they were unbelievable

20,
no no claims (second policy, have 2 years on other policy)
1293 clubby, all mods declared (and lots of them)
6000 miles a year limited

£370 f/c - inc 90 day euro cover and trackday cover at certain events.

very much worth investigating at least.

As my renewals for the minis come up I'm moving over to MiniWorld(HIC).. Grotbag was the last...

0% ncb ( all my ncb is on my main car atm :dontgetit: ) but they gave me a deal.
highly modified 1330 engine, in otherwise sd 1985 mayfair..
235 pa.

Can't even beat that when I get special rates @ Norwich Union ( I use to work there )

for young drivers, first alternative and elephant are good but dont even think about mods with these companys. But i agree with the rest HIC is the best once you are 19 or over because they wont take any 17 + 18 year olds.

oh and forgot to mention if you have a *male member* forget it. Most insurance companys see having one of these as a disadvantage lol. :dontgetit:
I dont personaly. If you are a woman on the other hand stay well clear of diamond, My girlfriend went with them they dont like to pay out and thier premiums are really dear.

HIC were £1000 more expensive than Adrian Flux, for me.

At the time: 21, Clean Licence, No NCB. 3 Years Driving. 2000 Cooper Sport JCW.

£1600?!, No thanks.......

HIC had someone make a huge claim recently apparently. It put all their premiums up and some people dont even get quoted. Mine is with HIC, and was 400quid cheaper than my 2nd best quote on a 998 City.
