The car is now sold and the new owner will be taking delivery this weekend.

It has been a pleasure building it and driving it for the limited time that i have used it.

I hope this thread has been a good insight and inspiration to many people and you never know the new owner may register on here and carry the thread on????

Cheers :proud:

Well done Mark. Hope you got what you wanted for it. I'm sure you did as it was worth every penny. Did you manage to do the brake conversion or did you sell it too quickly?
If I send the pickup over do you want to try selling that as well :proud: .

Well i have just finished reading this thread from beginning to end and i have to admit its like watching a bad movie where just as you get into it the hero dies at the end, but the purpose of this thread has worked on me and you have been an inspiration to me and hope i can do as good as a job as you did any way i wanted to ask would you mind if i used your colour scheme as it looks amazing and so badly want to use it i just don't want any copy right claims arriving in the post :P
the other thing i wanted to know was i read that the breaking system from an MG (can't remember which one) can be used but we don't have this kind of MG in South africa is there any one that can give me a list of common cars that will be suitable alternative for example Opel Corsa B or Golf MK1 shape which we still produce even now only with more modern goodies on it and we call them citi golfs, any way if any one can make a few suggestios as to alternatives i would greatly appreciate it my last question is what did you use to link the gear lever and the gear change lever on the motor, was it normal cable or something stiffer like thin round bar?
