HI all!!!
Just wondered if anyone had ever used a company called Old Skool Mini's located in Perry Barr, B'ham??
Looking to use them as they are the nearest specialist mini restorers to do some minor bodywork repairs / modifications to my mini.
I've heard some really good things about them, but just wondered if anyone had any 1st hand experience with their work?
Are they priced reasonably for the work?
Ta :)

Never used them myself but have been into their shop and had a look around.. They do very good work but from what i hear they are quite expensive and by the look of all the mini's they have there at the moment you will be waiting a while for the work to be done. I know somebody who waited a month to have a sill replaced!!

There is another mini specialist just down the road from them in Erdington called Collins Motoring Services Clicky
Here you wont be waiting ages and just as good and a little bit cheaper too... i use him all the time and wouldnt use anybody else now :)

i still stick to collins motoring!
All panels he uses are sourced from Old Skool Mini's but he works out slightly cheaper and with a quicker turn around!

Well had no problems getting it in to have the work done!!!
Went down at midday today to get a confirmed quote for the work i want doing - got the prices sorted, asked when they could squeeze me in to get it done and the reply was............bring the car in now and we will start this afternoon!!!!
My little mini is now there being stripped ;)
They have said that it will be ready towards the end of next week - which in my book is what i would call service!
It will now all be ready for the start of the show season which im chuffed about :)

New front wings supplied, painted and fitted, carbon fibre miglia arches fitted and arches cut out to suit, complete suspension overhaul inc hi/lo's, localised rust repairs, new front lights, new front fogs, wiring sorted for rear lighting, new fuel level sender, and also a new set of 13 x 7" rims will be making their way under my new arches!!! :)
Some of it i could do myself, but i have just been so busy with work the past 6months that i just dont get the chance to work on it - i hardly get the chance to even drive it nowadays! ;)
Thats why now ive decided that if it is going to ever get done, it needs to go to the professionals to be completed!!! At the end of the day i've worked hard for months, so this is my reward!
Really looking forward to next week now so i can go and collect it...........
