you can have any 50cc bike on the road as long as it is road legal
you can have an aprilia SX50 or Rs50 but the reason people prefer
normal mopeds is just because of the price on insurance.
I have a gilera dna 50 but im not on the road yet
my cousin has a reiju rr50 which is like an aprilia sx50 - manual - around £300 or more each year on insurance
my mate has a derbi senda 50 - manual - also around £300 or more per year on insurance
another mate has a peugeot trekker 50 -automatic - anything from £210 per year
and my other mate has an aprilia sr50 dia tech edition - automatic - also around £210 per year.
if you do your cbt on an automatic bike which nearly everyone does you are still allowed to ride a manual.
before you can do anything you need to send off for your provisional licence which is £50
once you have your provisional licence you can do your cbt which is around £130 - £150
depending on where you do it.
then once you have done that you can have any 50cc road legal bike as long as you have
insurance tax and mot. and tax is only £15 for 12 months (a year) you only have to have an
mot if your bike is older than 3 years old.
