But now I am fine tuning the suspension to make it handle and brake as well as it goes.
Could you perhaps make a DVD which covers suspension brakes and handling, as a part 2 to the engine CD, again it could be aimed at a nice fast road/trackday setup which would be of interest to a majority of mini owners, whatever engine size (or type)
Possibly it could cover. (1) 10" brake conversions. (common question on here), (2) adjustable suspension including tracking/Camber/castor.
(3)Shock absorbers/cones. (4) Checking rear wheel alignment/front and rear subframe mounts and modifications.
If there was time or room on the CD, perhaps exhaust/cooling/ancilleries to go with the 1380 or any tuned engine.

Resto idea is the most logical but your never gonna please everyone so hopefully you'll pick a year to restore that is favoured with the majority.
The individual tech guides on welding/spraying etc would definately be useful to alot of people but I'm guessing you would need to film this around one vehicle? But would you do it separate to a filming a restoration?? Cost wise I'm guessing no?
If you was to do a resto dvd but with in-depth guides to the more major work that would be good, but I can't imagine it would be cheapish?

and cover all the small jobs that people ask questions about on here.
Cheap to make and should sell well.
How do I convert to halogen lights?
How do I fit / wire spotlights ?
How do I fit a cigar lighter ?
How do I get a permanent feed to my radio ?
How do I fit a MK1 grille to a newer car ?
How do I convert a newer car to a centre speedo ?
How do I make / fit a dashboard ?
How do I fit extra gauges ?
Al that sort of stuff on one DVD would sell for years...
Best wishes

How about visiting various specialists/suppliers and filming their work?
Great ideas though - keep the chat going!
by the way I've posted an unedited clip of Bill flying around Llandow (tedious to all but the keenest fan, but I quite like it) on our website. There's a link on the homepage under the video for our latest film.
Cheers,
Paul

I think those are all great little ideas but i look at it this way - the forum already has the answer to each of these questions 10 times over from previous threads provided by people who don't use the search - I would think it was a waste of DVD space really - however ...it would provide a good visual representation of exactly how to do certain jobs and perhaps a bonus features menu on the DVD could include a list of small 2 minute videos showing basic technical fixed etc such as these?
a bit like the whole GCSE bitesize scheme....

Possible topics:
Camber kits
Dampers - types
Poly bushes
Coilovers
Coil Spring Conversion from Minitastic
Surely suspension is the next thing after engine? Brake options are fairly limited unless you've got loads of cash.

one for subframe removal and replacement,
engine removal replacement,
brake overhaul,
Interior trimming
Styling
Stereo fitment
For people with limited knowledge who refer to the Haynes manual a lot, which sections confuse the hell out of you?

Rather than hiring a track for filming is there scope for gate crashing some existing events? A more in depth look at Miglias following a few cars from race prep to track perhaps, even a drag strip or dyno shoot out would be of interest to your average Mini fanatic if they got a decent look under the bonnet.
For quick turn around projects, a decent quality L2B or IMM DVD could be a good seller if a bit hectic to film.
A driving techniques film could be loaded with controversy since most of us use our cars on the road.
Anyways:
Ultimate Mini Racer
Ultimate Mini Hillclimber
Ultimate Mini Grasser
Ultimate Mini Rallier
Ultimate Mini Showcar
Ultimate Mini Autotester
should keep you going for a while, do you need my addy for my complimentary copies
