Oops sorry lol
was gonna say feel old at 24 now![]()
Haha, I'm 24 too

Oh, and I'm from Mayfair Sport country, LOL
And this is how she looks today. I was young and had a strong need to modifie it.
BUt I still have all the original parts, stored dry. And someday, when I'm bored of a modified Mini I'm bringing her back to original spec

Cheers,
Jan

There's no engine in at the moment... It's all in boxes.

But it's going to be the old SPI engine, upgraded to MG Metro spec.
Slightly worked Innocenti 1300 head, MG Metro cam and 'stage 1' kit, HIF44 etc.

Details here.
Hope she's back on the road in two weeks (my first engine & gearbox rebuild). Likely to take more time

Cheers,
Jan

I believe that mine is pretty much stock except some one has put checkered bonnet and boot stripes and a checkered top decal on it.

I don't know if there's a fast number but many many were made. as said; I've seen more 'Sport' than normal Mayfairs here

but one is still carbed

i think the rev counter is the main difference. and mine ('85, '86, '89) all have a leather steering wheel, the normal factory one but leather at the rim. don't know if the Mayfair used the full plastic one

Minus 20°...?

That's possible, although my '87 Sport had the plastic steering wheel (but that wasn't neccesarily the original one)... Do yours have the ashtray for the fond passengers?
